reo property list north carolina?
How can I find a free copy of any available listings for Wake and Durham county’s REO’s or bank owned properties for sale? I’m getting a little interested in real estate investing and flipping.
You may be a little late for the RE flipping craze, since many end-lenders won’t finance properties with changes in the chain of title for the prior 24 months without proof of improvements to the home. Plus many housing experts think the “housing bubble” is going to deflate or at least housing will remain just steady, not the up,up, up we have seen. I actually used to live in the area you are talking about. That area in Wake County is a little odd because many Realtors there keep their listings “in house” for up to 30 days hoping to sell them inside of the brokerage. You could research REOs of the government end by trying www.hud.gov or www.firstgov.gov and search foreclosures. The HUD site actually links to many other government websites that have REOs. You can also contact banks or look on their websites for REOs. A Realtor may be of help, but many REOs go off the market fairly quickly, so find someone who is E-Pro certified, since that person has extra computer training. I can give you a referral to real estate agent and mortgage company I know in NC if you would like to contact me directly. My only other suggestion would be to go to sites like myspace.com and meetup.com and look for other real estate investors in your area. Some will help you, some will not, so remember these people are competing for the same places you are and share your information wisely. Good luck with your endeavor.
