My one bedroom apartment in greenpoint brooklyn’s being turned into condos. As a current tenant, I get first rights to buy and would pay the market value. Is it wise to buy and try and flip it in the current new york real estate climate? It’s a nice 780 sq ft place with hardwood, jacuzzi tub, and high ceilings. It’s half a block from the Greenpoint avenue G train. I dont know the price yet. What’s the most I should pay for it? Please let me know your (if any) real estate experience when you answer this! YES YES YES. I am a retired California Realtor who was able to retire early thanks to a housing market similar to NY’s. You won’t be able to retire off flipping one place, but you’ll come out way ahead. I don’t know the specific prices in your market but you might check with my “source”.
