What are some other other careers that are similar to “flipping” homes?
I am working on a paper for my finance class and cannot think of other careers that are comparable to flippers, in the sense that a high profit can be made in a few months time. I was thinking about maybe a real estate agent, but I’m not sure if that is comparable to a “flipper.”
Any activity that requires high levels of speculation – high risk, high reward – would be comparable to flipping. Real estate development would fit that description, as would stock day-traders and market timers, commodity traders, and even folks that buy and restore classic cars and other collectibles.
Although they seem to be low risk/medium reward, certainly people that grab internet domain names fit the criteria of trying to make quick money, in their case by waiting to “get hit by a pitch”. If only I had bought Microsoft.com through GoDaddy . . . .
